Race’s time-out

Since it is likely races may require time for players to enroll and fill them up, there is a time-out function to avoid shrimps being stuck for too long.

Each race has a predetermined countdown, related to the specifics of a given program. If the countdown reaches 0 seconds and the race has not achieved the minimum requirements of players or shrimps enrolled, it is cancelled and the entry fees are returned to the users who enrolled.

Every time users enroll one or more of their shrimps in a race, the countdown expands to ensure every race has a realistic chance of reaching the minimum requirements to start.

The countdown varies according to the typology of race. Each race typology has a different standard countdown, based on the average time needed by users to fill the race (this time is calculated based on data collected on a 15 day basis).

Each type of race has a different minimum number: after the number is reached, the race can officially begin (the number may vary between a minimum of 6/7 for 12 players races and a minimum of 18 for 30 players race).

Prize money and trophies will then be proportionate to the number of players in a given race.

“We strongly recommend taking part in full races or at least in races with a high number of players (i.e.: 8/12 players or 10/12 players) to facilitate league progress and to ensure a more enjoyable game experience”.
