Tournaments

Tournaments are one of the most exciting part of SHRIMP RACE CLUB. They’re universally accessible, offer massive prize money and are a good way to prove your shrimp is a champion. At the moment, there are two types of tournaments (the ‘Champions tournament’ and the ‘Crippled shrimp tournaments’) but the feedback provided by the Community will be used as a basis to add tournament types and structures, in order to be accessibile and enjoyable by the greatest number of players.

Champions tournament: the qualification for this tournament will be assessed through free or paid races, which will have the main goal of accumulating points to qualify each shrimp for the tournament. The qualification points for the tournament will be assigned based on the placement (first place will get you more points) on a minimum of 7 races, to be disputed via one of the three race modes (short races, medium distance races or long distance races). The first 420 players will be selected from the charts of each race typology (for a total of 1260 players). The tournament mode will allow shrimps placed in the first four places of the 12 player races to move to the next phase.

Crippled shrimp tournaments: the qualification for this tournament will be assessed through free and/or paid raves, which will have the main goal of accumulating points to qualify each shrimp for the tournament. The qualification points for the tournament will be assigned based on the placement (worst placement will get you more points ecc.) on a minimum of 7 races, to be disputed via one of the three race modes (short races, medium distance races or long distance races). The first 420 players will be selected from the charts of each race typology (for a total of 1260 players). The tournament mode will allow shrimps placed in the last four places of the 12 player races to move to the next phase.

The minimum number of players for each race typology is 210: hence, if less than 210 players enroll for a tournament, the final will be cancelled and there will be no tournament..

The availability of this type of race will always be announced before it begins on Discord and other social channels.

The availability and frequency of certain events and game can be changed according to the Community’s feedback.
